Rie Hosokai - Balloon fashion

Perché usare tessuti e fili, quando possiamo indossare i palloncini, ed essere comunque glam...ma soprattutto unici? Questo ci dimostra la stilista giapponese, Rie Hosokai, che nel 2009 ha creato un progetto, chiamato Daisy Balloon. Il progetto consiste nell'intrecciare i palloncini di diversi tipi e colori ottenendo le forme davvero spettacolari. Di preciso si tratta di abiti da sera e accessori. Questi abiti richiedono a volte più di 2000 palloncini per la realizzazione. Considerando che gli abiti hanno un'effetto "cenerentola", cioè durano più o meno 24 ore i costi ( 1500 $ - 4000 $) sono forse un po sproporzionati. Comunque, nonostante il prezzo, credo che davanti la bellezza degli abiti possiamo solo accorgerci dell'immensa creatività della stilista giapponese.

Why use fabrics and threads, when we can wear balloons and still be glamorous, but above all....unique? All this shows us the japanese designer, Rie Hosokai, which in 2009 created a project, named Daisy Balloon. The project consists in interlacing the balloons of different shapes and colors, getting the really spectacular forms. Precisely, these are evening dresses and and accessories. These dresses sometimes require more than 2000 balloons for realization. Considering that the clothes have the Cinderella effect, I mean , they last more or less 24 hours, the costs ( 1500 $ - 4000 $ ) are perhaps a bit disproportional. However, despite the price, I think that in front of the beauty of the clothes, we can only notice the immense creativity of the japanese designer.
